10th Anniversary!

Programme available now, click here

Cowalfest 2012 takes place from Friday 5th October until Sunday 14th October. The main attraction of the programme is a wide range of walks offering everything for all ages: all levels of fitness and interests whether you're a hardy hill walker, a heritage buff, a family group, a wildlife fan or someone who likes to be busy and learn new skills on holiday - you will find a wealth of walks and events to fill your days and evenings during Cowalfest.

Those who want a little less activity can simply relax and enjoy the welcome in one of Cowal's many historic inns, visit the many artists' galleries and studios, or be awed by the stunning scenery with miles of breathtaking coastline and so much more.

Cowalfest continues to build on the success of new links with the Burgh Hall hosting arts activities and exhibitions, and Seasons Coffee House offering a base for walkers to call in, relax, chat, browse the brochure and book walks and events.

The festival completes the whole holiday experience with opportunities for drama workshops for children, horse riding, orienteering, exhibitions, art, theatre and concerts, all set within the dramatic and historic landscape of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Forest Park. With all this on offer no wonder people come back to Cowalfest year after year!

Cowalfest is organised by the Cowal Walking Festival Association. The festival is a community led initiative, drawing together community groups , local businesses and individuals to deliver an annual walking and arts festival. Cowalfest was first launched in 2003.
