NEW Sidhean Sluaigh – The Fairy Knowe.
A forest road leads up the south side of Gleann Dubh beside the Sluain Burn. At the road end we find the shielings, ascend through the trees to cross the open hill westwards to the root of a former volcano.

Bring packed lunch.
Dogs on leads.

Start/Finish: Park by High Balliebeg, where Glen Dubh forest road meets the back road between Glenbranter and Strachur. GR NS098995
