The Coffin Route.

Follow this historic route across the Cowal Peninsula. Starting with a forest road through Glen Kin, followed by a climb over rough open ground across a saddle between the hills, (400ft). Walk is steep in places. We hunt for a cairn which marked the original route, before traversing the hillside above Inverchaolain.

CowalFest transport: At walk end, Inverchaolain Church, walkers will be transported back to Dunoon or Rumbling Bridge.

Sorry, no dogs.
Bring packed lunch.

Start/Finish: Meet either Dunoon Coal Pier 9:30 GR NS175766, for car share to start, or at Rumbling Bridge on B836. 10:00 GR NS133813
