* Mini-bus transport available from Dunoon Coal Pier at 0850 and return. If you wish to use CowalFest transport from Dunoon, please book as normal, then email stating intentions, and arrive at Dunoon Coal Pier at 0850.

Climb Cowal’s highest mountain from Glenbranter, then along the ridge to Benmore Gardens.

Minibus transport included from meeting point at Benmore Gardens car park to Glenbranter. The walk heads up Glen Shellish forest track before climbing rough, open ground to reach Beinn Mhor summit (741m). Returning to Benmore car park across open and often boggy moorland, with a short ridge walk to Creachan Mor (557m).

This is a substantial hill walk requiring good levels of fitness and stamina.

Packed food required. Dogs on lead welcome.

* If on the day the weather proves unsuitable for summit level walk, a lower route will be supplemented by the walk leader.
